No. Signature Tools is 100% client-side. Typing renders through the Canvas API in your browser, drawing captures pointer events onto a canvas in memory, and an uploaded image is decoded locally — your name, your drawn strokes, and your image never leave your device. There is no backend and no /api route. The site's Content-Security-Policy (connect-src 'self') even restricts which hosts the page may contact, so the privacy guarantee is enforced by the browser itself.

How do I type a cursive signature?

Open the Type mode, enter your name, and pick a cursive style (Dancing Script, Caveat, Great Vibes, or Sacramento). The fonts are bundled same-origin (no Google Fonts fetch), so they load instantly and work offline. Adjust the size and ink color, then download a transparent PNG, a vector SVG, or a PDF.

Can I draw my own signature with my mouse or finger?

Yes. Draw mode captures pointer and touch events on a canvas and smooths the stroke into a clean curve. Set the pen width and ink color, draw, then clear and redraw as many times as you like. Export the result as a transparent PNG, a vector SVG (real elements), or a PDF.

What does Upload mode do?

Upload mode lets you load a photo or scan of your existing signature, then cleans it with a luminance threshold so the dark ink stays and the background becomes transparent. Adjust the threshold slider until only your signature remains, then export PNG, SVG, or PDF. The image is processed entirely on your device.

PNG is a raster image with a transparent background — drop it straight into a document, email, or form.
